What is Broadband Light (BBL) Therapy?
A non-invasive solution for healthier younger skin
Broadband light therapy or BBL (also known as IPL and Photofacial) is among the most effective treatments to treat conditions associated with aging, using pulsating light energy to stimulate collagen production and heal lesions. —BBL laser settings are easily adjusted for a patient’s skin type and severity of damage. Conditions treated include age spots, rosacea, acne, freckles, and sunspots–usually on the face, neck, chest and hands. Treatment benefits include increased elasticity, reduction of pigmented lesions, vascular lesions, and fine wrinkles.
Stop the signs of aging on the face, neck, and hands
A Stanford University study confirmed that BBL treatment outcomes are amazingly similar to younger, untreated skin. Those patients receiving BBL treatments twice or more a year for 10 years were evaluated as looking 10 years younger on average than their true age.
Treat skin conditions caused by aging and sun exposure
Since BBL does not affect the outermost layers of the skin, recovery is quick, with most people returning directly to work after the procedure with no more than mild redness and swelling. One or more initial treatments may be required. Though results are visible after one or two treatments, an initial sequence of five treatments achieves the best results.
